Privacy Policy
Effective [FOUNDER: effective date]. This policy covers tryfolio.io, the Folio waitlist, and the Folio app.
Data we collect
This website. tryfolio.io does not set analytics cookies. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also provides security filtering (Turnstile) to keep out abuse. Cloudflare processes standard connection data (IP address, request headers) as part of serving the site.
The waitlist. Joining the waitlist collects your email address only, for the purpose of contacting you about Folio access. We rely on your express consent to store and use it. Waitlist entries are stored in our CRM.
Your Folio account. Folio keeps a session cookie, your login provider’s opaque account id, a masked label to greet you by, your deposit details, and the record of your acceptance of our terms (its version, the moment you accepted, and the providers listed on it). No password, card number, bank account or government id ever reaches Folio — your login lives with your provider, Privy.
How we use it
- Waitlist emails: to tell you when Folio access is available to you, and for nothing else.
- Account data: to run your Folio account — pricing, submitting and reconciling your trades, and crediting deposits.
- Website connection data: to keep the site secure and operating.
Providers
We share the minimum data needed with the providers that make Folio work: Privy (login and secure access to your assets), Stripe and Bridge (processing card and bank payments), xStocks (issuing stock holdings), Backpack (listing and pricing those assets), Kamino (margin lending), and Jupiter (price routing). Each provider’s own privacy policy governs the data it processes. Our website host, Cloudflare, and our email provider, Google Workspace, also process data on our behalf.
Retention
Waitlist emails are kept for [FOUNDER: retention period], or until you ask us to delete them. Account records are kept for as long as your account is open and for [FOUNDER: retention period] afterward, as required for our records and legal obligations.
Your rights
